SINGLE CAMERA SYSTEM
DIMENSION 3 provides single camera 3D for theatrical film production. Designed by Stereo Vision Systems, these lenses have been used for the majority of 3D feature films made since the 1980's.

32mm Stereo Vision lens on an ARRI III and Steadicam

One focal length (32mm) is available with interchangable mounts (PL/Panavision/BNCR). Other focal lengths may be available, though only in the BNCR mount.

These lenses shoot in the "over/under" film format, producing a 2.35:1 format (like Cinemascope). Generally speaking, images produced with single camera systems do not translate well to 3D video (see Wide Screen vs. TV). Dual camera systems are best suited for TV production.

The lens mounts quickly, and otherwise take no additional production time. Camera personnel can learn "3D" procedures within an hour, and can otherwise work with the system within minutes. We supply a special ground glass (ARRI/FRIES), marked for 3D.

Experienced 3D consultants are available to insure proper use and, especially, the elimination of eyestrain. They achieve this with the Spatial efx system, available ONLY from Dimension 3 (see previous page).

The lens is available for daily, weekly, monthly rental at very competitive rates. It's also available for sale. Projection lenses for dailies are available as well.
