DUAL CAMERA SYSTEM
DIMENSION 3 now has 6 dual camera base units. One is a MKI design for cameras up to 35mm (Panaflex, etc.). Four are the MKII units which can accommodate up to 65mm cameras. All units accept film or video cameras. We have one MKIII (see our 3D NEWS section) which is the lightest, most flexible model.

Mounted on a Fisher dolly, the system is quite mobile and well-balanced
(not top heavy like other systems).

Dual camera systems have been around for better than 80 years, and most work well enough for short productions. But D3 decided to produce units that are designed for real production conditions. The first important point is that ANY camera system, film or video, can be used, as long as they can be properly synchronized. No special cameras or support. Film cameras run normally (not in reverse like some systems!) and mount normally - no special adapters. Normal lenses.

Setup of the unit is fast and precise, as demonstrated during the production of the nine film/tape shows for ABC (ABC 3D Week - May '97). One show employed THREE units for true multiple camera coverage.

Camera personnel can learn "3D" procedures within an hour, and can otherwise work with the system within minutes.

is fast and uncomplicated.

Simplicity is the key to D3's design. We know speed and ease of handling are as important as the need for precise 3D. As the most experienced 3D company, these goals are met and surpassed.

DIMENSION 3 camera base units are available for daily, weekly, monthly situation with experienced personnel at very competitive rates.

If you want quality 3D and simple operation, DIMENSION 3 is your only logical choice.
